Established in the year 1940 as a partnership company by the founder Late Shri Kanhaiya Lal Gupta, this parent company was reconstituted as a Private Limited Company in 1981 and went Public in the year 1988.

A Government recognized Premier  Export  House, the company, from its New Delhi Office, is headed by the Executive Director,  R. K. Gupta who has been associated with the Group since 1973. He is also Director in other Group Companies and is President  of the Confederation of Indian Exporters (CIE).

The group has fully equipped and most modern manufacturing units in Varanasi and Noida where it manufactures glass beads, necklaces, earrings, fashion accessories, tasbees, hand knotted woolen carpets, silk, artificial silk, hand tufted Indo-Nepalese carpets and druggets; has over 30 associate manufacturers for handicrafts, silk fabric, scarves and brocade sarees etc., working under its technical expertise and stringent quality control.

Today, BBL, in a big way is into gold and silver jewelry and can offer a unique range of designs in hand and machine-made, studded and plain jewelry which are being exported round the globe.

The New Delhi office Exports costume jewelry, handicrafts, scarves – cotton, rayon and silk, designer ladies garments, leather goods, bags / belts – cotton, canvas and dhurries, beads from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and other neighboring states. Also quality Basmati Rice, spices, perfumes, marble handicrafts, garden show pieces, potpourri, sports goods, wax candles, incenses.
